Can I print from Android™ Smartphone?

Yes. You need to download Brother iPrint&Scan (Version 1.12 or later) from the Google Play and install it into your Android™ Smartphone to print with your Brother machine. For more information click here to see Brother iPrint&Scan support information.

Also your Brother machine must have the required version firmware (Version 1.09 or later). To verify your machine's firmware version follow the steps listed below:

  1. Press OK.
  2. Press the Down arrow key to select Machine Info. Press OK.
  3. Press the Down arrow key to select Version. Press OK.
  4. Press the Down arrow key to select the fimware version you want to know. Press OK.
  5. The firmware version is displayed on the machine's display. 

If your machine's firmware version is earlier than 1.09, update the machine's firmware. Click here to download the Firmware Update Tool and see more information in the Downloads section to update the firmware.
