Uninstall the scanner driver. (Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.10)

The following instructions will help you completely uninstall the scanner driver. It is strongly recommended that you close all other applications before beginning the uninstall process.

Please follow the steps below to uninstall the drivers.

You must be logged on with administrator rights.

 

  1. Disconnect the USB cable between the Macintosh and your Brother machine.
     
  2. Log on as an "Administrator".
     
  3. Remove the file in the following directory.

     

    • Library/'Image Capture'/'TWAIN Data Sources'/DSmobileyyyy.ds
    • Library/'Image Capture'/Support/DSmobileyyyyCalibrator
    • Library/Frameworks/DSmobileyyyy.framework
    • Library/'Application Support'/BrotherScanner/DSmobileyyyyy

     

    * yyyy in the steps above is your model name. E.g. 700D
