Do I need a telephone line to send and receive faxes with my Brother machine?

You must have a telephone line to send and receive faxes with your Brother machine. To send and receive faxes, you must plug the telephone line cord directly from the wall telephone jack (socket) to your Brother machine's jack (socket) labeled LINE.
