Adjusting LCD Backlight Brightness

If you are having trouble reading your Brother machine's LCD, you can adjust its backlight brightness by following these steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps of "For Touchscreen models" below.

1. Press Menu.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup.
   
   
3. Press OK.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose LCD Settings.
   
   
5. Press OK.
   
   
6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Backlight.
   
   
7. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to choose Light, Med or Dark.
   
   
8. Press OK.
   
   
9. Press Stop/Exit.

<For Touchscreen models>

1. Press MENU.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.
   
   
3. Press General Setup.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Settings.
   
   
5. Press LCD Settings.
   
   
6. Press Backlight.
   
   
7. Press Light, Med or Dark.
   
   
8. Press Stop/Exit.

Adjusting the Backlight Dim Timer

You can adjust how long the LCD backlight stays on after you go back to the Ready screen. To change the dim timer, follow these steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps of "For Touchscreen models" below.

1. Press MENU.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup.
   
   
3. Press OK.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose LCD Settings.
   
   
5. Press OK.
   
   
6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Dim Timer.
   
   
7. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to choose 10Secs, 20Secs, 30Secs or Off.
   
   
8. Press OK.
   
   
9. Press Stop/Exit.

<For Touchscreen models>

1. Press MENU.
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.
   
   
3. Press General Setup.
   
   
4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Settings.
   
   
5. Press LCD Settings.
   
   
6. Press Dim Timer.
   
   
7. Press 10 Secs, 20 Secs, 30 Secs or Off.
   
   
8. Press Stop/Exit.
