Confirm that a FAX I sent was received correctly.
You can use the Transmission Verification Report as proof that you sent a fax. This report lists the sender's name or fax number, the time and date of the transmission, number of pages sent, and whether or not the transmission was successful.
There are several settings available for the Transmission Verification Report:
On: Prints a report after every fax you send.
On+Image: Prints a report after every fax you send. A portion of the fax's first page appears on the report.
Off: Prints a report if your fax is unsuccessful due to a transmission error. The report will also print if you send a color fax that the receiving machine prints in black & white. Off is the default setting.
- Off+Image: Prints a report if your fax is unsuccessful due to a transmission error. The report will also print if you send a color fax that the receiving machine prints in black & white. A portion of the fax's first page appears on the report.
Follow the steps below to program the Transmission Verification Report:
Press (Settings) > All Settings > Fax > Report Setting > Transmission or XMIT Report.
Press one of the above-listed settings.
If you choose On+Image or Off+Image, the image will appear on the Transmission Verification Report if Real Time Transmission is set to Off.
- If your transmission is successful, "OK" will appear next to "RESULT" on the Transmission Verification Report.
- If your transmission is not successful, "NG" or "ERROR" will appear next to "RESULT" on the Transmission Verification Report.
You can also make use of the Fax Journal (activity report) which will list the last 200 incoming and outgoing faxes. Using this report, you can tell the date and time each fax was sent or received, the name or number the fax was sent to or received from (provided the Station I.D. has been set), and whether or not the transmission was successful. When the 201st fax is sent, the 1st fax is deleted from memory.
You can program the machine to print the report at regular intervals (every 50 faxes; every 6, 12, or 24 hours; every 2 or 7 days) and you can print the report on demand.
Follow the steps below to set the report interval:
Press (Settings) > All Settings > FAX > Report Setting > Journal Period.
Press Journal Period.
Press the Up or Down arrow key to display the intervals.
Press the option you want to set.
If you choose Every 50 Faxes, go to STEP 8.
6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days
The machine will print the report at the chosen time and then erase all jobs from its memory. If the machine's memory becomes full with 200 jobs before the time you chose has passed, the machine will print the Fax Journal report early and then erase all jobs from the memory. If you want an extra report before it is due to print, you can print it without erasing the jobs from the memory.
Every 50 Faxes
The machine will print the Fax Journal report when the machine has stored 50 jobs.
- 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days
Press Time, and then enter the time to start printing (in 24-hour format) using the keyboard on the Touchscreen. Press OK. For example: enter 19:45 for 7:45 PM.
(For some countries)
When you set 12h Clock in the Date & Time setting, enter the time in 12-hour format.
If you chose Every 7 Days, press Day.
Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Every Monday, Every Tuesday, Every Wednesday, Every Thursday, Every Friday, Every Saturday or Every Sunday, and then press the first day for the 7-day countdown.
