How can I reset the printer?

You can reset the printer settings using the printer buttons (QL-800/810W) or the LCD menu (QL-820NWB).

 

Resetting all settings (QL-800)

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Power ( Power button ) and Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) buttons.
  3. When the Status LED lights in orange and the Editor Lite LED flashes in green, release the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button.
  4. While holding down the Power ( Power button ) button, press the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button three times to reset all settings (including device settings) to the factory settings.
    The Status LED lights in orange and the Editor Lite LED lights in green.
  5. Release the Power ( Power button ) button.
    The Status LED and the Editor Lite LED flash several times and the Status LED lights in green.

 

Resetting all settings (QL-810W)

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Power ( Power button ) and Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) buttons.
  3. When the Status LED lights in green, release the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button.
  4. Continue holding down the Power ( Power button ) button.
    The Status LED lights in orange, the Editor Lite LED flashes in green at 0.5 second intervals, and the Wi-Fi ( Wi-Fi ) LED flashes in blue at 0.5 second intervals.
    • Press the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button once to reset the network settings. The Status LED lights in orange.
    • Press the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button twice to reset the user data. The Wi-Fi ( Wi-Fi ) LED lights in blue.
    • Press the Cutter ( Feed and cut button ) button three times to reset all the settings and device settings to the factory settings, the Editor Lite LED lights in green.
  5. Release the Power ( Power button ) button.
    The Status LED flashes four times and then lights in orange, the Wi-Fi ( Wi-Fi ) LED flashes four times and then lights in blue, and the Editor Lite LED flashes four times and then lights in green.

 

Resetting data (QL-820NWB)
You can reset the following settings using the LCD menu:

  1. Press the [Menu] button.
  2. Press the UP or Down Arrow button to select [Administration], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the UP or Down Arrow button to select [Reset], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the UP or Down Arrow button to select the reset menu, and then press the [OK] button.

    Factory Reset Reset
    Back
    Returns all printer settings, including the communication settings and device settings, to their factory defaults.
    Templates and databases stored in the printer are also deleted.
    User Data Reset Reset
    Back
    Returns all device settings to their factory defaults.
    Templates and databases stored in the printer are also deleted.
    Network Reset Reset
    Back
    Returns the communication settings to their factory defaults.
