"JAM E1" error appears on the LCD. What should I do?

This message indicates that a paper jam occurs at the paper exit. 




Follow the steps below to clear a paper jam:



  1. Open the Top Cover and release the Fusing unit Pressure Release Levers.


  2. Open the Rear Access Cover and remove the jammed paper by pulling it out slowly.


  3. Close the Rear Access Cover.


  4. Reset the Fusing Unit Pressure Release Levers, and then close the Top Cover.
