My machine has no power.

If the batteries are weak or the wrong power adapter is used, it can cause the machine not to power up.

  • If you are using batteries, replace all of them with new six "AA" batteries. Follow the pictures in the batteries compartment on positioning the "+" POSITIVE end of the batteries.

  • If using an AC power adapter, check the rating of the adapter. The label on the adapter should list the OUTPUT as 9.5VDC 1300mA. The label should also indicate the "+" POSITIVE and the "-" NEGATIVE contacts of the adapter plug. The outside surface of tip at the end of the plug should be "+" POSITIVE and the inside contact should be "-" NEGATIVE. Using a wrong adapter can damage the machine internally and void the warranty. The recommended adapter for this machine is the AD60.

  • If the machine is just out of the box, remove the Mylar label on the display. The label blocks the display and it is difficult to tell if the machine is ON or OFF.

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.
