I cannot install the scanner drivers.

You may not have been given administrator privileges.

 

(Windows)

Login Windows with administrator rights.

 

(Mac)

(macOS 13 or later)
  1. Select System Settings from the Apple menu.
  2. Scroll and select Users & Groups in the left navigation bar.
    The right pane of the window will list the current accounts, one of which should be your name with the word "Admin" underneath. If this is not the case, contact your system administrator.
(OS X 10.10 - macOS 12)
  1. Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
  2. Click Users & Groups.
    The left pane of the window will list the current accounts, one of which should be your name with the word "Admin" underneath. If this is not the case, contact your system administrator.
