I can't turn off my Brother machine.
You should not unplug the machine when it is not in use. When the machine is off, it will still periodically clean its print head to maintain print quality. To prolong the length of the print head, provide better ink efficiency, and maintain print quality, you should keep your machine plugged in at all times.
If you are unable to turn off the machine by pressing and holding , follow these steps:
-
Check the machine's display (hereinafter called Touchscreen) for an error or status message.
-
Do one of the following:
- If an error or status message appears on the Touchscreen, refer to the solution that addresses the message.
- If no error or status message appears on the Touchscreen, go to Step 3.
-
Press a key on the Touchscreen to see if it is responsive.
- If the Touchscreen is not responsive, please contact Brother Customer Service from "Contact Us."
- If the Touchscreen is responsive, go to Step 4.
-
Press and hold to try and turn off the machine.
- If is not responsive, please contact Brother Customer Service from "Contact Us."
