I'm having trouble reading the information on my Brother machine's Touchscreen. How can I adjust the Touchscreen LCD's brightness?
Adjusting Touchscreen LCD Backlight Brightness
If you are having trouble reading your Brother machine's Touchscreen LCD, you can adjust its backlight brightness by following these steps:
- Press
(Settings).
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display General Setup.
- Press General Setup.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display LCD Settings.
- Press LCD Settings.
- Press Backlight.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Light, Med or Dark, and then press the option you want to set.

Adjusting the Backlight Dim Timer
You can adjust how long the Touchscreen LCD backlight stays on after you go back to the Ready screen. To change the dim timer, follow these steps:
- Press
(Settings).
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display General Setup.
- Press General Setup.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display LCD Settings.
- Press LCD Settings.
- Press Dim Timer.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display 10Secs, 20Secs, 30Secs or Off, and then press the option you want to set.
