I'm trying to print special paper, but that paper is having problems feeding from the tray. What can I do?
If you are trying to print special paper, but the paper misfeeds from the paper tray, follow these steps:
Loading paper into the manual feed slot
You can load paper into the manual feed slot one sheet at a time.
To load paper in the machine's manual feed slot, follow these steps:
- Open the manual feed tray.
- Slide the paper guides to fit the paper you want to use.
- Use both hands to put the sheet of paper into the manual feed slot until you feel its front edge touch the roller.
- Insert the sheet of paper into the manual feed slot with the print side face up.
- Let go of the sheet of paper when you feel the machine automatically feed it slightly into the slot.
- Make sure that the sheet of paper is straight and centered in the manual feed slot. If it is not, it may jam or the print may be skewed.
- Do not put more than one sheet of paper into the manual feed slot at once. Inserting more than one sheet of paper into the manual feed slot may cause a paper jam.
