How do I thread the needle?

  • When using special thread such as transparent nylon thread or metallic thread, the needle threader cannot be used.
  • You cannot use the needle threader if you are using decorative threads or special needles, such as the twin needle and wing needle.
  • The needle threader can be used with home sewing machine needles 75/11 through 100/16.
  • Never use the thread of No. 20 or lower.
  • Use the needle and the thread in the correct combination. For details on the correct combination of needles and threads, refer to "Combination of fabric, thread and needle".

  1. Lower the presser foot lever to lower the presser foot.

    • If the needle is not raised, the needle threader cannot thread the needle. Be sure to press needle position button(Needle position button) to raise the needle before using the needle threader.

    • When pulling out the thread, do not pull it with extreme force, otherwise the needle may bend or break.
    • Do not touch a button. Do not touch the start/stop button, needle position button or reverse/reinforcement stitch button. If one of the buttons is accidentally pressed, the machine will begin sewing and your finger may be pricked with the needle or the needle may break.

  7. Pass the end of the thread through the presser foot, and then pull out about 5 cm (2 inches) of thread toward the rear of the machine.
