Print from a computer using Print Profiles.

Print Profiles allow you to choose from a range of pre-defined and user customizable print settings, helping you to save the time and effort of having to manually change them yourself every time you want to print.




PRINT USING A PRINT PROFILE


  1. Within the application you wish to print from choose the print option.

  2. Click PROPERTIES to open the Printing Preferences window.

    The steps may vary depending on your application.


  3. On the Print Profiles Tab, choose the desired Print Profile from the list and then click OK. The default Profiles are as follows:

    1. General Print: Suitable for general, everyday printing using standard paper.

    2. A3/Ledger Print: (A3/Ledger Printer Only) Easily print on standard A3/Ledger paper.

    3. Paper Save Print: Suitable for printing presentations and rough copies of your documents:

      • Automatic Duplex print supported devices will combine 8 pages to every piece of paper (4 on each side).

      • Non-Automatic Duplex print supported devices require you to turn over every piece of paper manually.


    4. Ink Save Print: Ideal for less important documents that do not require a professional finish. Printouts will appear fainter than in any other profile but will use less ink.

    5. Two Sided (Duplex) Print:

      • Automatic Duplex supported devices: will automatically print on both sides of the paper.

      • Non-Automatic Duplex supported devices: will require you to manually reverse the paper. On-screen instructions will tell you how and when to do this.

      The items displayed differ depending on your model.



    6. Photo Print: (3.5 x 5 in) Suitable when printing photographs on glossy paper.

    7. Grayscale Print: The Grayscale Print Profile will print your documents in black and white.

    8. Fast Print: The fastest print setting, ideal for printing draft copies of your documents.


  4. Once you are in the Print Dialog box for your application, click OK or Print (depending on your application). The document will print using the settings from the chosen Print Profile.


ADD A PRINT PROFILE


  1. Open Printing Preference. (Click here to see how to open Printing Preferences.)

  2. Make any desired print adjustments on the Basic and Advanced Tab and then click Apply.

  3. Click on the Print Profiles Tab.

  4. Click Add Profile. This will allow you to save your current print settings to a profile for easy selection later.

  5. Give your edited profile a name and choose an icon.

  6. Click OK.

    The following settings cannot be saved to a Print Profile:

    • Copies

    • Orientation


  7. If you want the Print Profiles tab to always appear first when you enter the printer driver, place a check in Always show Print Profiles tab first.


DELETE A PRINT PROFILE


You can only delete profiles that you created. You cannot delete a preconfigured Print Profile.


  1. Open Printing Preference. (Click here to see how to open Printing Preferences.)

  2. Click on the Print Profiles Tab.

  3. Click on the profile that you would like to delete and then click Delete Profile.

  4. You will see a list of all profiles that you have created. Click on the desired profile and then click Delete.

  5. When asked to confirm, click Yes.
