How to set the Gap/Black Mark Sensor as Media Sensor and calibrate the Gap/Black Mark Sensor by directly operating the printer

Follow the instructions below:

 

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Press and hold the right Selection button, and then turn on the Power Switch.

  3. For the Black Mark Sensor
    Release the button when Bline Calibration appears on the screen.
    You can also release the button when the LED is flashing in green/amber (5 times).
    The LED color will change in the following order:
    Amber > red (5 times) > amber (5 times) > green (5 times) > green/amber (5 times) > red/amber (5 times) > green (lit)

    For the Gap Sensor
    Release the button when Gap Calibration appears on the screen.
    You can also release the button when the LED is flashing in red/amber (5 times).
    The LED color will change in the following order:
    Amber > red (5 times) > amber (5 times) > green (5 times) > green/amber (5 times) > red/amber (5 times) > green (lit)

    You can also calibrate by using the BPM (Brother Printer Management Tool).
