Clear the "Busy, Try Again Later" message from my Brother machine's display.

To clear the Busy, Try Again Later message from your Brother machine's display (hereinafter called LCD),follow these steps:

  1. Is there a telephone cord or computer interface cable connected to the Brother machine?
    • If yes, disconnect the cable(s) from the Brother machine.
    • If no, go to Step 2.
  2. Is the Brother machine directly connected to the power outlet?
    • If the Brother machine's power cord is directly connected to the power outlet, unplug it from the outlet.
    • If the Brother machine's power cord is connected to a surge protector, power switch, or other such device, unplug it from that device.
This is for testing purposes. Disconnecting the Brother machine from the device helps to determine whether the issue is related to the device or the Brother machine.

Brother strongly recommends you connect your machine to a surge protector to protect it against power surges and lightning. In particular, we suggest you use a surge protector that is compatible with both standard AC power cords and telephone cords.  Surge protectors equipped with telephone jacks will help to insulate your machine from power surges that might travel through the telephone line.
  3. Leave the Brother machine unplugged for one minute.

  4. Plug the Brother machine's power cord directly into the power outlet.
