How can I remove horizontal white lines and other flaws from documents printed on my Fax/MFC?

Cleaning the four color print heads (black, cyan, magenta and yellow), adjusting the vertical alignment and/or replacing the ink cartridges may improve the print quality.

 

To identify which print heads need to be cleaned and if the alignment needs to be set, print the Print Quality Test Sheet. Click here and follow the steps.

Brother has developed a Firmware Update Tool that improves the efficiency of the cleaning cycles and alters the programmed time of the cleaning cycles from 11:00 pm to 11:00 am. Improving the efficiency of the cleaning cycles will extend the life of the ink cartridges when there is very little use of the machine or a particular color ink cartridge.
