What is the default node name of a Brother machine?
BRN_****** is for the wired connection
BRW_****** is for the wireless connection
where ****** is the last 6 digit of the product's Ethernet address (MAC address).
You can see the current node name,
From the control panel menu:
- Press Menu key on the control panel.
- Press up or down navigation key to select LAN and press OK.
- Press up or down navigation key to select TCP/IP and press OK.
- Press up or down navigation key to select Node Name and press OK.
From the BRAdmin Professional software:
*only for WindowsR users.
- Start the BRAdmin Professional utility, by clicking Start --> All Programs or Programs --> Brother Administrator Utilities --> Brother BRAdmin Professional xx --> BRAdmin Professional xx.
("xx" varies on the version of BRAdmin Professional you are using.) - Right click on the print server which you want to configure and select Configure Print Server, Configure Wireless Setting, Configure Interface, Configure Printer or Configure Device.
- Enter a password if you have set it. You can now see the print server setting.
