What is the "Station ID" and how do I set it?

The Station ID is for identification purposes.Your name and fax number will be printed as the header of every fax sent. To enter your "Station ID", follow the steps listed below:

  1. Press MENU.

  2. Press the up or down arrow key to display Initial Setup.

  3. Press Initial Setup.

  4. Press up or down arrow key to display Station ID. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  5. Press Station ID.

  6. Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits) on the Touchscreen, and then press OK.

  7. Enter your name (up to 20 characters) using the Touchscreen, and then press OK.
    To enter numbers or special letters, press  repeatedly until the character you want to enter appears, then press the character you want to use.

    • If you need to enter a character that is on the same key as the last character, press the right arrow key to move the cursor to the right.

    • If you entered a letter incorrectly and want to change it, press the right or left arrow key to move the cursor to the incorrect character, press .

    • If you make a mistake and want to start again, press Stop/Exit and go back to step 1.
  8. Press Stop/Exit.
