Add your Brother machine with AirPrint (macOS)
Before printing using macOS, add your Brother machine to the printer list on your Mac computer.
(macOS 13 or later)
- Select System Settings from the Apple menu.
- Scroll and select Printers & Scanners in the left navigation bar.

Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax.
The Add Printer screen appears. - Select your Brother machine, and then select your model's name from the Use pop-up menu.
- Click Add.
(macOS 12 or earlier)
- Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
- Click Printers & Scanners.

Click the + icon below the Printers pane on the left.
The Add Printer screen appears. -
Do one of the following:
(macOS 12)
Select your Brother machine, and then select your model's name from the Use pop-up menu.
(macOS 11 or earlier)
Select your Brother machine, and then select AirPrint from the Use pop-up menu. - Click Add.
