Scan using XSane or GIMP (Linux)
1. Scan using XSane
- Make sure you have installed the scanner driver (brscan4 or brscan5).
- Make sure you have installed XSane from your distribution's repository.

Start XSane:
- Click XSane in the application menu.
- Enter xsane in the terminal.
- The XSane dialog box appears. Select the settings you want, and then click Scan.
2. Scan using GIMP
- Make sure you have installed the scanner driver (brscan4 or brscan5).
- Make sure you have installed GIMP and XSane from your distribution’s repository.
- Start GIMP.
- In the File menu, click Create > XSane > scanner name.
- The XSane dialog box appears. Select the settings you want, and then click Scan.
