I cannot select the pattern, when I press Buttonhole stitch key or Appliqué stitch key in the operation panel.
It only changes decreasing or increasing the tension of the upper thread.
Your machine is on the setting to use 
(Buttonhole stitch key) and 
(Appliqué stitch key) for adjusting the upper thread tension.
Please change your machine setting to use these keys for selecting stitches.

- Turn off your sewing machine.
- While holding
(Settings key) in the operation panel pressed, turn on the sewing machine.
- When the sewing machine beeps, release
(Settings key).
