How do I record an outgoing message on my Brother machine's built-in TAD?
To record an outgoing message for your Brother machine's built-in digital message (TAD Message), follow these steps:

Press MENU on the touch screen.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Fax.

Press FAX.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Setup TAD.

Press SETUP TAD.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display OGM.

Press OGM.

Press TAD MESSAGE.
"TAD Message" is the ONLY setting you can choose if you want to enable the TAD. -
Press RECORD MSG.

Record your outgoing message:

If your Brother machine has Digital Cordless Handset (DECT™ Handset),
speak clearly toward the microphone on the control panel to record your message. Press STOP/EXIT when finished recording your message. The TAD will play back your outgoing message.
- If not, pickup the handset and record your message. Replace the handset when finished recording your message. The TAD will play back your outgoing message.
For example: "Hello. We are unable to take your call at this time. Please leave a message after the signal. If you wish to send a fax, please press *51(*91 for New Zealand), wait until you hear fax tones, then press the Start button."
Your outgoing message should be less than 20 seconds long.

If your Brother machine has Digital Cordless Handset (DECT™ Handset),
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.
