How do I store received faxes in memory?
If you set Fax Storage to ON, your FAX/MFC will hold all incoming faxes in memory until either you opt to print or delete them. The LCD will indicate when you have a fax stored in memory. Additionally, if there is paper in your machine and Fax Storage is enabled, then your FAX/MFC will automatically print each fax as it is received into memory. This is a safety feature to ensure that you will have a backup copy of each fax in case the machine loses power and the messages are lost.
To turn Fax Storage ON, please follow these steps:
-
Press Menu/Set.
-
Press the up or down navigation key until Fax appears and press Menu/Set.
-
Press the up or down navigation key until Remote Fax Opt appears and press Menu/Set.
-
Press the up or down navigation key until Fwd/Page/Store or Forward/Store appears and press Menu/Set.
-
Use the up or down navigation key to select Fax Storage (or Off if you wish to disable Fax Storage). Press Menu/Set to confirm your choice.
-
Press Stop/Exit to exit the menu.
If you set the remote fax options to Off and received faxes are left in your FAX/MFC memory, follow the LCD messages that appear after Step 6.
