I cannot connect to the Active Directory running on Windows Server 2003 using the LDAP feature. The error message "error code=8" appears at the end of the configuration using Web Based Management, or "Server Time-out" error message appears on the LCD. What should I do?
Your Brother device supports only simple authentication. Encrypted authentication and SSL/TLS are not supported.
Please follow the procedure below to confirm and change the setting value on the Active Directory Server.
- Launch Domain Controller Security Policy from Administrative Tools.
- Select "Security Settings" => "Local Policies" => "Security Options".
- Set LDAP server signing requirements to "None" in Domain Controller.
- Reboot the Active Directory server.
