How do I clean my machine?
<Print Head Maintenance>
Wipe the print head (1) with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
Clean the print head once a day or every roll replacement, whichever comes first.
- Do not let your skin come into contact with the print head, to prevent electrostatic damage and corrosion.
- Do not touch the print media surface.
- Make sure your printer is in a well-ventilated room. If condensation occurs, turn the printer off and wait until the condensation disappears.
- Do not scratch or hit the print head surface.
- Do not blow dust away with your breath.
<Platen Roller Maintenance>
Use a piece of cellophane tape to remove dirt from the platen roller (1).
Do not use organic solvents such as benzene.
<Media Exit Maintenance>
If adhesive accumulates at the media exit (1) and media becomes jammed, disconnect the printer from the AC power outlet, and then clean the media exit with a cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
<Label Peeler (Optional) Maintenance>
*TD-2120N/2130N users only
If adhesive accumulates at the media exit (1), peeler separator (2) or peeler sensor (3) and media becomes jammed, disconnect the printer from the AC power outlet, and then clean each part with a cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
