I am unable to print from a client PC to a printer on a print server. (Linux)
This issue can occur if you have a firewall installed on the print server.
If you have a firewall running, you will have to open ports according to the service you are using.
LPRng : TCP port 515 (LPD)
CUPS : TCP,UDP port 631 (IPP)
Samba/CIFS : TCP,UDP ports 137-139 and 445 (NetBIOS and SMB)
The procedure to configure the firewall can differ between distributions.
For further information, consult the documentation that came with your distribution.
