How do I make my copied images look sharper and more vivid? (Copy Contrast)
Temporarily changing the Copy Contrast setting
You can make your copied images look sharper and more vivid by adjusting your Brother machine's Copy Contrast setting.
To change the Copy Contrast setting for your next copy job, follow these steps:

Press the COPY key to illuminate it.

Do one of the following:

Place the document you want to copy into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) face up, top edge first.
- Place the document you want to copy face down on the flat scanner glass.

Place the document you want to copy into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) face up, top edge first.

Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want to make (up to 99).

Press the OPTIONS key.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Contrast.

Do one of the following:

Press the UP ARROW key to increase the contrast.
- Press the DOWN ARROW key to decrease the contrast.

Press the UP ARROW key to increase the contrast.
-
Press the OK key.
- Press the START key to start copying.
Programming a new default Copy Contrast setting
You can change your Brother machine's default Copy Contrast setting by following these steps:

Press MENU and choose Copy => Contrast.

Do one of the following:

Press the UP ARROW key to increase the contrast.
- Press the DOWN ARROW key to decrease the contrast.

Press the UP ARROW key to increase the contrast.
-
Press the OK key.
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.
