If the label is difficult to cut or tape is jamming in the cutter, tape adhesive may have built up on the cutter blades after repeated use, taking the edge off the blades. To correct this problem, the tape cutter must be cleaned.

Cleaning the tape cutter

Wipe the cutter blades using a cotton swab moistened with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol.
