You can program your Brother machine for Speed Dialling. If you lose electrical power, Speed Dial numbers stored in memory will not be lost.

Speed Dial numbers are stored as two-digit locations on the dial pad of your Brother machine. Once you have programmed a number to a Speed Dial location, you can dial the number by pressing the Up Arrow key (Speed Dial), OK , # followed by the two-digit number and then Mono Start or Colour Start. The Brother machine can store 40 Speed Dial numbers. To store Speed Dial numbers, please follow these steps:

1. Press the Up Arrow key (Speed Dial).
   
   
2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Set Speed Dial.
   Press OK.
   
   
3. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose the 2-digit Speed Dial location where you want to store the number.
   Press OK.
   
   
4. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • Enter the name (up to 16 characters). Press OK.
     -OR-
   • To store the number without a name, press OK.
     
     
5. Enter the fax or telephone number (up to 20 digits). Press OK.
   
   
6. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Complete.
   Press OK.
   
   
7. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • To store another Speed Dial number go to STEP 3.
     -OR-
   • To finish press Stop/Exit.
