I can slide the stitch length adjustment slider, but I cannot adjust the stitch length.

1. Check that the stitch length adjustment indicator lights up on the operation panel.
2. If the indicator does not light up, press the stitch length adjustment button.
3. When the indicator lights up, adjust the stitch length by sliding the stitch length adjustment slider.
