When I share a FAX / DCP / MFC via a Windows XP PC, the machine prints garbage characters. What can I do?

  • This problem is often resolved if you download the latest Windows XP Service Pack from Microsoft's web site. Download and install the service pack.

  • Also make sure the Brother printer driver is set to BMFC Port and not LPT1.
