How do I change the brightness on the LCD as it is too dark and I cannot read the screen?
You can adjust the LCD contrast for a sharper and more vivid display, if you are having difficulty reading the LCD.
Please follow the steps below:
Step1: Changing the LCD contrast setting
Step2: Changing the backlight brightness setting
(This option may not appear depending on your Brother machine.)
Step1: Changing the LCD contrast setting
- Press Menu.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose General Setup.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose LCD Settings.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Choose LCD Contrast and then choose Light, Med or Dark.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press Stop/Exit.
Step2: Changing the backlight brightness setting
(This option may not appear depending on your Brother machine.)
- Press Menu.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose General Setup.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose LCD Settings.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Choose Backlight.
- Do one of the following (The menue varies on your model.):
- Choose Light, Med or Dark.
- Press the left arrow key to change darker or press the light arrow key to change lighter.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press Stop/Exit.
