I cannot receive a colour fax.
-
Make sure the person sending the fax has a fax machine capable of sending colour faxes.
-
Replace the colour ink cartridges that are empty or nearly empty, and then ask the other person to send the colour fax again.
-
The machine cannot receive a Ledger (A3) Colour fax. When a Ledger (A3) Colour fax is sent to your machine, your machine will receive either a Ledger black & white (A3 mono), fax or a Letter (A4) Colour fax depending on the Receiving Priority setting.
The default setting is B&W (Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)], so the machine cannot receive a colour fax unless the receiving priority setting is Colour (Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)].
How to change the Receiving Priority setting;
- Press Menu.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose Fax. Press OK.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose Setup Receive. Press OK.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose B&W/Colour (Mono/Colour).
- Press the left or right arrow key to choose Colour (Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)] or B&W (Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)]. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
