Vertical streaks appear on my copies.

These types of lines are typically caused by dirt on the scanner unit.


  • This problem is usually resolved by cleaning the white pressure bar and the glass cover with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

The scanner unit is the mechanism that reads the documents that are being sent or copied.

We recommend unplugging the power cord for safety.

If you continue to experience vertical lines, repeat the cleaning process. If the problem continues contact Brother customer Service.
