How to clean the Platen Roller

Clean the Platen Roller when replacing the label roll with a new one.

 

To clean the platen roller, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Press the tabs on both sides of the printer, and then lift the Roll Compartment Cover.
    Open cover

  3. Rotate the Platen Roller and wipe it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol or ethanol.
    Wipe Platen Roller

  4. Gently press down on both sides of the Roll Compartment Cover to close it.
    Close cover

Calibrate the Gap/Black Mark Sensor every time you change the media.
