Can an External Answering Device(TAD) be used instead of the built-in one?
Yes, you can use an External Answering Device as long as the memory usage is programmed for fax only. Whenever an external answering machine is connected to the fax unit, the external machine must answer the call first. The fax machine will listen for automatic tones and engage if necessary.
