What do the indicator lights mean?

The indicator lights and flashes to indicate your printer's status. The symbols used in this FAQ explain the meaning of the different indicator colors and patterns:

	-	Charging	-

Varies depending on the battery condition	Cooling	Now cooling	Wait a while. Printing will resume automatically.
	-	Program transfer failed Boot mode	Turn off the printer and then turn it on again. If the problem still occurs, contact Brother Customer Service.
	Recharge Battery!	Rechargeable battery power: empty	Charge the rechargeable Li-ion battery. → Click here to see how to charge the rechargeable Li-ion battery
	Media Error! Check Loading	Wrong media error	Is the correct media roll installed? Check that the correct media, for example, type (die-cut label or continuous length tape) and die-cut label size, is installed. Is the media roll installed correctly? If not, remove the media roll, and then reinstall it. → Click here to see how to insert/change the paper or label roll Are the roll guides touching the side of the media roll? (RJ-2140/2150 only) Move the roll guides against the side of the media roll. → Click here to see how to insert/change the paper or label roll Is enough of the roll remaining? 	Cover Open Close Cover	Cover open error	Close the media roll compartment cover.
	System Error! 01 System Error! 02	System error	Turn off the printer and then turn it on again. If the problem still occurs, contact Brother Customer Service.
	Mass Storage Operation Error!	Mass storage error	The file system becomes corrupted or a file is copied while a mass storage file is being processed. Turn off the printer and then turn it on again.
	Communication Error	Communication error	Transfer of the data failed. 	WPS did not connect Try to connect again?	WPS connection error (only for RJ-2050/2140/2150)	The access point could not be found. → Try to connect again. An access point for establishing a connection could not be specified. → Confirm the WPS setting environment (distance between the access point and the printer, presence of obstructions, and so on) for the access point, and then configure the WPS settings for the printer again.
	Memory Full!	Memory full error	Print jobs exceeding 1m (39.37″) or incompatible files cannot be printed. There is not enough internal memory available when you try to save a label file. → Delete any unnecessary files, and then print again.
	Invalid Database Record	Database search error	There is no database with the specified number. Specify a correct number. The search for a template with a linked database fails. → Search again.
	No Template Selected	No template error	There is no template with the specified number. Specify a correct number. When printing a template, the specified template does not exist. → Select the correct template, and then print again.
