If your Brother machine's LCD displays the message, Not Registered when you try to dial a One-Touch or Speed Dial number, then there is not a One-Touch or Speed Dial number stored at the location you dialed.

You can verify the locations of your One-Touch and Speed Dial numbers by searching your Brother machine's Auto-Dial memory or by printing the Tel Index List, which lists the names and numbers in Auto-Dial memory in numerical or alphabetical order.

• To search your Brother machine's Auto-Dial memory, go to SECTION A: SEARCHING AUTO-DIAL MEMORY.
• To print the Tel Index List, go to SECTION B: PRINTING THE TEL INDEX LIST.

SECTION A: SEARCHING AUTO-DIAL MEMORY

1. Press the SEARCH/SPEED DIAL key.
    
2. Press the DOWN ARROW key.
    
3. Do one of the following:

    

   • To search by name, follow these steps:

      

     1. Use the dial pad to enter the first letter of the name you're searching for.
         
     2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose a name.
         
     3. Press the OK key.
   If the LCD reads No Contact Found when you enter a letter of the name, you have not stored any names that begin with that letter.
   • To alphabetically search all stored names, follow these steps:

      

     1. Press the OK key.
         
     2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose a name.
         
     3. Press the OK key.

SECTION B: PRINTING THE TEL INDEX LIST

1. Press MENU and choose Print Reports => Tel Index List.
    
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Numeric or Alphabetic.
    
3. Press the OK key.
    
4. Press the Black (Mono) Start or Color (Colour) Start key. Your Brother machine will print the Tel Index List.
    
5. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
