Cannot start Remote Setup.
Check the following points to solve the issue:

Check if the machine is turned on.
If not, turn on the machine and then try again.

Check if the machine is connected to your computer.
If not, connect the machine to your computer and then try again.

Check if the machine is in Sleep Mode.
If not, press or open the Top Cover, and then try again.

Check if an error occurs.
If so, clear all errors and then try again.

Check if the machine is scanning documents.
If so, wait until scanning has finished and try again.
-
Check if the machine is in the Settings Menu.
If so, stop configuring the machine from the Control Panel.
