You can program your Brother machine to page you when it receives a fax into its memory.

To program your pager number into the machine, follow these steps:

1. Press Menu/Set, 8 (Remote Fax Opt), 1 (Fwd/Page/Store).
   
   
2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Paging.
   
   
3. Use the dial pad to enter your pager number followed by ##.
   
   
   • For example, enter 1, 8, 0, 0, 5, 5, 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, #, #.
     
     
   • The number can be up to 20 digits long.
     
     
   • Do not include the pager's area code if it is the same as the Brother machine's.
   
   
   
4. Press the Menu/Set key.
   
   
5. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • If your pager requires a PIN, follow these steps:
     
     
     1. Use the dial pad to enter the PIN.
        
        
     2. Press #.
        
        
     3. Press the Redial/Pause key.
        
        
     4. Use the dial pad to enter your fax number followed by ##.
        
        For example, enter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, #, Redial/Pause, 1, 8, 0, 0, 5, 5, 5, 1, 2, 1, 2, #, #.
        
        
     5. Press the Menu/Set key.
        
        
     6. Go to STEP6.
     
     
     
   • If your pager does not require a PIN, follow these steps:
     
     
     1. Use the dial pad to enter your fax number followed by ##.
        
        For example, enter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, #, Redial/Pause, 1, 8, 0, 0, 5, 5, 5, 1, 2, 1, 2, #, #.
        
        
     2. Press the Menu/Set key.
        
        
     3. Go to STEP6.
   
   
   
6. Press the Stop/Exit key.
