I cannot receive a color fax. Why?
-
Make sure the person sending the fax has a fax machine capable of sending color faxes.
-
Replace the color ink cartridges that are empty or nearly empty, and then ask the other person to send the color fax again.
-
The machine can not receive a Ledger (A3) Color fax. When a Ledger (A3) Color fax is sent to your machine, your machine will receive either a Ledger black & white (A3 mono) fax or a Letter (A4) Color fax depending on the Receiving Priority setting.
The default setting is B&W(Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)], so the machine cannot receive a color fax unless the receiving priority setting is Color(Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)].
How to change the Receiving Priority setting;
- Press Menu.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose Fax. Press OK.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose Setup Receive. Press OK.
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose B&W/Color (Mono/Colour).
- Press the left or right arrow key to choose Color(Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)] or B&W(Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)]. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
