Set up my Brother machine to forward the received faxes to another location.

You can use your machine's Fax Forwarding feature to forward the faxes you receive to another location. When Fax Forwarding is on, your machine will receive a fax into its memory, dial the fax number you programmed, and forward the fax to that number.

To turn Fax Forwarding on, follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax. Press OK.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Remote Fax Opt. Press OK.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fwd/Page/Store or Forward/Store. Press OK.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax Forward. Press OK.
The LCD will ask you to enter the fax number you want your faxes to be forwarded to.

  6. Enter the forwarding number by using the dial pad (up to 20 digits), by pressing a One Touch key or by pressing ( Address Book the up arrow key (Address Book)) and the three-digit location. Press OK.

    • If you store a Group on a One Touch key or a Speed Dial location, the faxes will be forwarded to multiple fax numbers.

  7. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose On or Off. Press OK.

  8. Press Stop/Exit.

If you choose Backup Print On, the machine will also print the fax at your machine so you will have a copy. This is a safety feature in case if there is a power failure before the fax is forwarded or a problem at the receiving machine.

To turn Fax Forwarding off, follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax. Press OK.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Remote Fax Opt. Press OK.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fwd/Page/Store or Forward/Store. Press OK.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Off. Press OK.

If there are faxes in the machine's memory, the machine will give you two options:

    • If you press 1, all unprinted faxes will be printed and erased before Fax Forwarding is turned off. If a backup copy has already been printed, it will not be printed again.

    • If you press 2, the memory will not be erased and Fax Forwarding will remain on.

  6. Press Stop/Exit.
