When receiving a single page fax, why does the fax print on two pages or a blank sheet ejects afterwards?

If the received data is divided and printed on two pages or if you get an additional blank page, your Paper Size setting and/or the Reduction setting may not be correct for the paper you are using.

Adjust the paper size following the instructions listed below:

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display General Setup.
  3. Press General Setup.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display Paper Size.
  5. Press Paper Size.
  6. Press the correct size.
  7. Press Stop/Exit.

If you are using the fixed reduction feature, check to see if the reduction ratio is set to ON. (We recommend turning the setting to "AUTO REDUCTION" ON.)

To check the reduction setting:

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display Fax.
  3. Press Fax.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display Setup Receive.
  5. Press Setup Receive.
  6. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display Auto Reduction.
  7. Press Auto Reduction.
  8. Press On (or Off).
