Sometimes I insert a memory card or floppy disk, touch the appropriate icon, and the SG3000 screen blanks out, then turns back on.
Sometimes the designs come up, but when I choose a design, the screen blanks out. Why is this?

The SUPER GALAXIE 3000 is very sensitive to stitch data.
If a design is not properly digitized, or if important portions of the design's stitch data are missing or corrupted, the machine will re-set itself.
Additionally, if there is too much data on the disk, the machine cannot process it all at one time.
In the first instance, run the design through PE-Design if possible and examine it.
If another machine, such as the SUPER GALAXIE 2100, is available, send the design to a card and place it in the embroidery machine.
Often the machines cannot display the color name of the corrupt portion of a design, and that will be an indication to you.
If you suspect there is too much data on the disk for the machine to read, place just a few of the designs onto a different floppy disk and try again.
Remember that the origin of a design may be an important issue.
You have no real knowledge of the integrity of a design downloaded free from the Internet, and even designs that you purchase from a novice digitizer can have problems.
