How do I connect an External Telephone?

Your fax machine is equipped with a handset that you can use as a regular phone. However, you can also connect a separate telephone directly to your FAX.

Connect the modular plug on the telephone's line cord to the jack labeled EXT. on the side of the fax machine. If you answer an incoming call or dial out using the external telephone, the LCD will display "EXT. TEL IN USE".

If the handset of the Fax is picked up while you are using the external telephone, an alarm will sound.
To disconnect the call from the external telephone to switch to the handset of the Fax, press the Hook or the Speaker Phone key.
