Reset Your Machine

The following reset functions are available.

Machine Reset

You can reset all the machine’s settings that you have changed, such as Date and Time.

  1. Press image(Stop) and Mono Start simultaneously.
    The Power LED, Warning LED, and Ink LED light up for one second, and then the Warning LED starts blinking.
  2. Press and hold Mono Start for two seconds.
    The machine restarts.

Network (DCP-T420W/DCP-T425W)

Reset the print server back to its default factory settings (includes Password and IP Address information).

  1. Press WiFi Button/LED and image(Stop) simultaneously.
    The Power LED, Warning LED, and Ink LED light up for one second, and then the WiFi Button/LED starts blinking.
  2. Press and hold Colour Start for two seconds. 
    The machine restarts.

All Settings

Use this reset function to reset all machine's settings to the settings originally set at the factory.

Brother strongly recommends you perform this operation when you dispose of the machine.

  1. Press image(Stop) and Mono Start simultaneously.
    The Power LED, Warning LED, and Ink LED light up for one second, and then the Warning LED starts blinking.
  2. Press and hold Colour Start for two seconds. 
    The machine restarts.
