My machine does not print.

Please check the following:

  • Make sure that the cassette tape is not empty.
If there are vertical stripes on the ribbon, replace the cassette tape with a new one.

  • Make sure the cassette tape is firmly inserted inside the tape compartment.

  • If the batteries are weak or the wrong power adapter is used, the machine does not print.

    If you are using batteries:
Replace all of them with six "AA" batteries. Follow the pictures in the batteries compartment on positioning the "+" POSITIVE end of the batteries.

If you are using an AC power adapter:
Check the rating of the adapter. The label on the adapter should list the OUTPUT as 7VDC 1.2A. The label should also indicate the "+" POSITIVE and the "-" NEGATIVE contacts of the adapter plug. The outside surface of tip at the end of the plug should be "+" POSITIVE and the inside contact should be "-" NEGATIVE. Using a wrong adapter can damage the machine internally and void the warranty. The recommended adapter for this machine is the AD30.

If you found the tape stuck inside the machine, refer to the FAQ: "The tape does not feed properly or the tape gets stuck inside the machine.".
