Is data created in other applications compatible with P-touch Editor 5.0? (P-touch Editor 5.0 for Windows)
Database files in the table below are compatible with P-touch Editor 5.0 and you can import them by clicking [File] - [Database] - [Connect...] in the menu bar of P-touch Editor 5.0.
For information on how to layout database data in a label, click [P-touch Editor Help] from the [Help] menu in P-touch Editor and refer to the [How to] - [Professional mode] - [6: Using Excel data to print labels] section.
Database File | Connection Mode |
---|---|
xls(Excel) | Read-only/Edit |
xlsx(Excel)*1 | Read-only |
mdb(Access) | Read-only/Edit |
accdb(Access)*1 | Read-only/Edit |
csv | Read-only |
Microsoft SQL Server Database | Read-only |
*1 Office2007 or "2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components" needs to be installed.
When connecting to an xls, mdb, or accdb file, you can select whether the connected database is opened with read-only permissions or whether it can be edited.
If you select the "Connect to original file and allow editing." mode, formats and macros of the original file may be removed. To prevent this, we recommend selecting the "Create a copy that can be edited" mode.
