The thread is looping when I try to wind a bobbin.

Looping while winding the bobbin could be caused by several reasons.

  • The thread may not be threaded through the thread guide properly.
Rethread guide following the diagram on the machine.
Be sure to pass the thread as far as possible into the two slits in the thread guide.

  • The bobbin winder cover may not be pushed all the way open. When opening the bobbin winder cover, make sure it is push open as far as it will go.

  • The thread could be winding off to quickly. When using threads such as transparent nylon thread or metallic threads, place the spool net over the spool before placing the spool of thread onto the spool pin.
